Before joining Kyushu University in 1994, Professor Kouichi Sakurai was a research engineer at Mitsubishi Electric Corp. His work has been, and is focused on research and development of cryptography and information security systems. Prof. Sakurai is also the director of the ISIT Second Laboratory, described above.
